Course Policies:  Lecture

Several times during the semester, pop quizzes will be given.  This is a way that I can take roll.  If at the end of the semester you happen to be on the “border” of one grade vs. another, these quizzes will allow me to assess if you should be bumped up to the higher grade.  If you were not in class, then you will not be given that option.

THERE ARE NO MAKEUP EXAMS— If you miss a test, a percentage of your final exam will take the place of the missed exam.  If you miss more than one, then you will receive a grade of ZERO for the second missed test.

Power point presentations will be put up on blackboard before lecture.  This is to help you keep up during lecture, but these should not take the place of being in class.  Not all material presented during lecture will be found on these notes.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  Please don’t wait until the end of the semester to decide that you have NO CLUE what is going on in class.  The time to worry about your grade is from the beginning...not at the end of the semester.

Academic dishonesty:  Please refer to Hilltopics pg 5:  Standard of Conduct                           (http://web.utk.edu/~homepage/hilltopics/)

Students found breaking this standard of conduct will be given an “F” for the course and referred to the office of Student Conduct for further action.  We all take this very seriously and you should too!
